Hard Bargain - With five days left in the semester, I was in serious trouble, stuck failing a class I couldn't afford to fail. Luckily, Mrs. Wolfe was my professor, and we'd always gotten along fine, so I figured I had a shot at some extra credit. Begging for a better grade got me nowhere at first, but she had something more creative in mind, and by the end of our talk we'd worked out an arrangement that suited us both. Wish I'd thought of asking sooner, would have saved me a lot of homework.
