Mrs. Pendragon was trying to get me to understand literature and the great films of all time. I didn't really get all that, but what I did understand was that she was extremely charming and seemed genuinely interested in me. By the end of our session at her desk, she'd shown me a whole different kind of passion — and I walked away with a much better appreciation for her class.
